WHAT. THE. FUCK!!!
I don't think I can make a coherrent post here.
Hold on.
*breathes*
What was that???
I'm starting at the beginning. The watery creature things didn't, I'm afraid, live up to my expectations. They weren't scary, really. But I feel like they weren't even the point, to be honest. And that weird robot thing? Hmm. And Adelaide's encouter with the Dalek? Well.
It probably didn't help that I watched it with my family. My brother and my dad took the piss out of a lot of it, cos that's what we do - there were comments about it being the carrots responsible for the weird stuff, not the water, leading my brother to say, 'Yeah, but it doesn't have quite the same ring to it - 'The Carrots Of Mars', does it?' There was a fair amount of giggling going on, and I don't feel any of them really took it particularly seriously.
So the episode, in my opinion, while being pretty good, wasn't particularly out of this world - until the last fifteen minutes or so. And THEN!
And then we have the Doctor being REALLY scary. Then we have the Doctor being evil. They said this episode was going to be scary and I assumed that it was down to the watery creature things. Nope. The Doctor totally out of control was what was utterly terrifying. I'm going to put aside the fact that it made him incredibly sexy - my GOD that was a performance by Tennant! That, and the bit before where it looked like he was going to walk away from everything. Really powerful.
And the suicide of Adelaide. That was very, very clever. That shocked me.
But the whole OMG WHAT HAS THE DOCTOR DONE thing? I can't begin to imagine what'll happen next!! What the consequences of his actions are. The Christmas episode is going to be incredible.
Which brings me on to the preview.
Donna? Wilf? Master? Creepy x-ray head thing? End of the end? I am still geeking out about that!
I think I really need to watch it again. I'm sorry if this post has taken up your time in vain cos I don't think it made a whole lot of sense!
(I don't have any truly epic and appropriate icons either!)
Summed up? Whoa.
