o noir
ever heard of o noir? it's the restaurant where 25-75% of the waiters are *mostly* blind? (i actually don't know if it's % of waiters blind, or % blindess of waiters... but in anycase, there are blind waiters involved) and you eat entirely in the dark.
anyway, this is my second time being there. i went with tim for his 20th birthday.
so we arrived at 845 pm. we didn't leave the dining room until 11:39. then we had to wait for 30 minutes just to pay! (that's because it's the only light area). our waitress FORGOT us in the darkness of the restaurant and there are strict rules that you can't leave without the guiding hand/shoulder of the waiter. it was like being lost in a scary, dark cave with depressingly empty dinner plates in front of you.
anyway, it was going to come out to 42$ (plus tip) for me and around 50$ for Tim. but we were so upset that Tim just left and i got away with paying 40$ and only a 2$ tip. boo to them. dine and dash! i can't believe we did that!
when we were walking away he gave me 20$ and now i feel like i am suddenly rich.
