For Future Reference
Friends,
If anyone is ever pissed off at me for doing something, please confront me about it.
If you don't, I'll never know that I'm doing something to make you upset.
And if it concerns Matt, please just let me know. If it upsets you that I spend more time with him than you or that I bring him places with me or that I talk to him on the phone occassionally when I am hanging out with you, then let me know. I'm honestly not trying to make you feel like I can't be away from him long enough to devote my time to you. It's just the way I function in a relationship, especially a long distance one. I believe that romantic love does at times require more effort than friendship. After all, if this is the person you are possibly wanting to spend the rest of your life with, living together, raising kids, etc., wouldn't you want to spend a lot of time getting to know them to make sure they are the right one? Maybe I am taking my friendships for granted ... but in reality I'm never going to live with my friends, and probably (once I'm older and we've all moved around the country) we won't even see each other very often. I try to make time for all of you, because I love spending time with you too, and if I'm failing in that respect, you've gotta tell me.
