What a great weekend!

As you may know from reading imagechild's blog, we went to the drive-in and to Scarborough Faire this weekend. Man, it was a blast. I can't remember having so much fun.

So, Hope, Jill, Wes, and I all went to the Galaxy drive-in in Ennis. Which apparently, apart from the races, is the only thing to do in Ennis, hence the long lines. :) We saw Fast and Furious (coincidentally was the top box office earner over the weekend due in part to our patronage) and Knowing. All movies are double features at the drive-in, which is awesome. Fast and Furious was really fun to add our own dialog and make fun-of, MST3K style. Knowing was actually a decent movie, which means it wasn't as much fun to watch. But then we got to watch a hilarious zombie film at the hotel room called Diary of the Dead. Really, just a typical rehashing of your standard zombie film, except with deaf Amish guys who throw dynamite and camera men completely oblivious to their own and their friends safety.

On Sunday we dressed up and went to the Faire where we met up with Jason and Heather for a while. We had a great time. I got a new shirt.

Jill had two and a half glasses of mead and was really bouncy for the next couple hours, which was ever so much fun to watch :)

[edit]Wow, I can't believe I almost forgot about the elephant ride! Jill and I got to ride an elephant for the first time. You don't realize how big those things are until you're sitting on top of one. This particular one kept meandering off the path. Jill thinks it was his repressed sense of freedom urging him to break out into the world. While I think a high speed escaped elephant chase with us on its back would be exciting, it would probably be pretty terrifying too. Maybe next time :)

Like I said, it was a great weekend. Now reality comes crashing back down and I realize that I didn't do any work on my paper at all. At least I got my taxes done on Saturday, even though I owe like $450. Anyway, today will be very busy.

Have a great week everyone.
