Spent the day (and I mean the entire day!) up at Annapolis Mall today, totally Matt's idea. It was the best day we've had in a bit, everyone had a great time. It's been well over a year since we've gone up there and they have expanded by at least 50%. Where it was big before it is now this MASSIVE mall now, with two seperate parking garages and the like. We went mostly for the new Lego store which rendered Alex aboslutely nearly unable to speak until we walked inside. Holy cow-that store is amazing. We bought him the Lego Spencer train that he's wanted for a while and hasn't been spotted around our stores, and I got a small gift for Matt from the kids.
Did I mention that there was a Lindt chocolate store there? With the pick-your-own-porker assortment jars? Heaven. I got Matt a wildberry yogurt one and his eyes rolled back for a second or two. I should have gone back around to get more but again, that place is monstrously large, and I'm not as light as I was 6 months ago.
Oh yeah, I'm 6 months along. Holy shit. I've got 14 (but really 15.5 by the way my kids bake) weeks left. Wow. Anyway. I had Matt take some belly pics this morning as my ass was smokin' in the shirt that
thecranewife gave me. I will post them tommorrow, I promise, Randi!
Back to the mall. I remembered that I had a Baby Gap gift card given to me when Violette was born, so I did my best to spend it. I wound up spending $8. I got the Boy a onesie that sports: 'Teething Bites' with a embroidered shark on it, and an adorable two pieve outfit for $3 off of the clearance rack. It'll be perfect for his coming home duds-little pants and a top. I'm putting it in the diaper bag my friend made me when I get upstairs.
The bag! How could I have not mentioned this earlier?? She made it completely from the selvage edges from material. (Lynne is the godmother of Violette and we asked her to be a repeat for the Boy.) I don't have the words to say how breathtaking her quilts are. She had made one bag and I mentioned that I would love to have one for a diaper bag, not thinking she would go ahead and make it!
Go look at it on her quilting blog and you can see why I love her so much. She's making the Boy his quilt as well-actually two. His
coming home quilt is here. Again, I don't know how I was lucky enough to have her come into my life.
Again, the mall! Such a good time. There were no meltdowns, no gimmies, no whining, etc. I got some heavenly tea from a store called Teavana. They have about 43549078534 types of loose tea and can make 48547305984751345 combinations from them. I got a Honey Vanilla herbal and Raspberry Sangria herbal as well, and some Cranberry black for Matt. Then realized they make hot/iced by the glass to drink and got a blend that was just glorious. I'll have to look them up online otherwise we're going back soon to get more! (I only got the tiny sampler sized of the three teas.)
Drove home, got Long John Silver's for dinner, screw the carbs, and I'm so full I'm ill. What an awesome day. :)
