Mishima and English translated manga ^_^

In Mishima's latest blog post, she talks about her impressions after seeing the English version of Kankei wa Mada Lv. 1 for the first time. ^_^ I found it rather interesting to read her comments, especially with knowledge of the ways of American fans in general... The following is a rough translation of the paragraph on this subject... (note: She comments on some specific phrase/name translations, so I'm providing the original Japanese with "my" translation in parentheses where she uses straight Japanese, and italicized text for stuff that she typed directly in English.)

I received the English version of Kankei wa Mada Lv. 1.
The translation left 由井先生 (Yui-sensei) as YUI-sensei, and 梶さん (Kaji-san) as KAJI-san... will the readers understand that?
I thought it would be kinda cool as "Hey, Mister Kaji!"* or something like that, but I guess I was wrong. (*T/N: this was written in katakana as "ヘイミスターカジ!" (hei misuta- kaji))
And in my profile I had "年下攻めが好き" (I like younger semes), and that's been translated as "I like younger semes." (I can't quite tell if this is right or wrong.*) (*T/N: Just for clarification, this is her comment, not mine. ^_^;;)
Will they understand seme? Or manga or yaoi?
Come to think of it, they used yaoi, not BL.
Also, it was interesting that they had a page explaining how to read the manga.
It explained the right order to read panels and lines.

...I actually thought it quite interesting to see what she thought on the subject... It really kinda reminds me that our fan culture is just a little removed from "normal" culture and language. (And it reminds me of the English translated manga that I have that are less removed from "normal" American culture...)

mishima!
