So, I mentioned BISEXUAL by Masaki Souko here. (And I still think it was a great manga. ^_^;;) And I mentioned that the mangaka also did Boys Este, which is a multi-volume series with a drama based after it. And, well, I've finally gotten around to finishing up on the drama (not done yet, three episodes to go after this one)... and I've come to a realization.
The owner of Boys Este (the shop that the series is named after), is named Kitsuma (and I had to go look it up... but his full name is Meito Kitsuma). One of the guys who works there (who is now setting himself up to be a love rival for the main character, Hibiki) is... Shikishima Shichiri. The main character of BISEXUAL is Shikishima Shichiri and the guy he ends up liking is Meito Kitsuma. (They're a reversible couple based on what they actually show/talk about in the manga, so I'm refraining from using seme and uke. ^_^;;) And, well, Kitsuma just said he was Shichiri's not-quite-boyfriend in the drama! ^_^ (As Shichiri is saying, it's not really love or anything, but it's far beyond friendship. ^_^) Shichiri then told him he loves someone else now... but still!
edit: ...But, the details of their childhoods don't quite match... Maybe the two in Boys Este were based off the other two, but with differences???
