So, I'm back from Chicago now (was yesterday, but I'm kinda sorta halfway sick now and ended up falling asleep not too long after we got home yesterday evening...). Mitsuwa was great, as usual. ^_^;; The Sanseido bookstore has smaller collection than the old bookstore did (I knew this from May when Evan and I went, but that impression got reinforced yesterday), and almost nothing in the way of bl stuff... >_< But I did get some manga...
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei 9 by Kumeta Kouji (I'm watching the anime... but I screwed up and didn't notice the kanji volume number on this one... so I'm going to have to get 1-8 sometime ^_^;;;)
Akitsuki 2 and 3 by Takayama Shinobu (got volume 1 of this in May when I was in Chicago for a different interview, haven't finished volume 1 (got distracted), but I enjoyed what I read)
Rental Magica 1, written by Sanda Makoto, illustrated by Narimiya Akiho, character designs by Pako (shoujo manga based off a shounen novel series (there's a shounen manga adaptation as well, apparently)... being made into an anime as well)
Koi suru Maid Shounen 1 by CJ Michalski (my one bl purchase ^_^ I like CJ Michalski, and (pretty) boys in maid uniforms make me happy ^_^;;)
Aside from that and some random Japanese snacks... Mom bought a magazine... A Japanese magazine, 100% in Japanese. Mom doesn't speak a word of Japanese, and doesn't plan on learning, either. But this magazine has a huge picture of Jon Bon Jovi on the cover and an article inside, with an interview. She bought it just because of that, and I ended up telling her (afterward) that I would be willing to attempt translating the interview for her, but that I couldn't guarantee anything.
But still... Mom bought a Japanese magazine. ^_^;;
And... ^_^_v got a hold of rips of the Love Neco drama cd and listened to it!! Squeeeee!! It was so adorable!
