busy night
So, last night was a rather eventful night. Mom and I got to spend quite a bit of time outside (and it's rather cold in Wisconsin in mid-November ^_^;; ), and we got to meet some of the neighbors that we didn't know before, including one who used to live on the other end of the street and was the younger sister of a friend of mine at the time.
Long story short, the house across the street was on fire last night. No one was hurt - the dad and son got taken in for smoke inhalation, but they didn't seem to be burned or anything, and they got the dog and bird out okay. But the house seemed to be pretty much full of smoke by the time I got outside, and Mom said she saw the flames shooting out after the son came over to ask us to call 911 (which Dad did while Mom and I went out to help, mostly Mom giving them advice while we waited for the fire trucks to arrive).
...And I still managed to finish most of the laptop's rehab, even when I wasn't outside in the cold and flashy lights. ^_^; (Didn't get to bed until about 3:30 because of it, but that was more my stubbornness than any real necessity to stay up that late.) May have some little things to tweak here and there, but it's mostly back. Yay! ^_^
And now it's time to go shower, both to get clean, and to get warm. It's kinda chilly today, and because I only got 5 or so hours of sleep before my brain woke me up, I'm running really cold.
