in all honesty, i haven't had a good day today. i've been frustrated for most of it....mainly because of Multicultural Education. Not that the class upset me because I enjoyed learning the content today, but it was the content that bothered me most. So we are talking about black racial identity development and white racial identity development

Sigh. Welcome to the wonderful world of reality. I didn't think, in fact, I hoped that you wouldn't be hit by it so soon...but if you remember, I *did* tell you it would happen. People are generally ugly and petty and jealous and fear those things they don't understand. You are, and will continue to be, moving along the evolutionary scare of humanity at a good clip, while most of the common folk will be stuck at some stage for months and years - because they are stupid, because it doesn't personally affect them, because they are uneducated...but they'll be stuck there. The hard part is dealing with THEM. You and Jaymes are, and always will be, the easy part. It's the world. I thought/hoped/prayed you'd be protected from the world for a while longer, but nope, the ugly ol' thing stuck it's head right in your face.

I have no advice except to love what is true and what is good. Love your enemies, because it'll drive them crazy. And if you let "them" see that "they" can get to you, they will continue to punch those buttons time and again. Don't try to educate them...it's like teaching French to a pig. It upsets you, and annoys the heck out of the pig.
