I have to agree with the teacher on this one
The paper itself seemed scattered and that it had a leftist anti war agenda, didn't back up certain statements with enough data, included COMPLETELY ERRONEOUS DATA and the language of the paper seemed more angry than it really needed to be.
1: The causes and effects of the 2nd Iraqi Gulf war goes back to the 80's and 90's and doesn't have as much to do with Osama Bin Laden as it does to booting out Saddam Hussein COMPLETELY and the tyrants of the Ba'athist Party who attempted to illegally annex Kuwait and therefore control a larger amount of the world's petroleum resources. After the first Iraqi American Gulf War, the UN sanctioned Iraq and it resulted in the deaths of about 500,000 children and those children grew up starving and pissed but also marginalized because they weren't of the Ba'athist party.
2. the Ba'athist party NEEDED to go...and there was some bad data that Saddam's chemical and biological war engineers were running around the desert in like...big ass mobile labs and vans and shit and the BIG worry was...do they possibly have or are reaching for nuclear technology?
Al Qaida didn't have any real grasp in Iraq until the second Gulf war after we came in and started using the card deck to find the 52 worst human rights abusers in Iraq
After that happened Al Qaida made a run for it and we stayed and went the distance via Bush AND LATER President Obama and helped Iraq reach for a more true democracy that also included the problems of the Iraqi Kurds, Sunni and Shi'ite Muslims...you know...like a 3 party system.
Was the teacher being a prick? Not really to be honest...I think that teacher was saying...this is November...this essay is not an example of good historical political research with a clear thesis and it's not presented in a way that I can grade and it will take me too long to grade this with any sense of decency so fuck it, it's an F because I say it's an F and this kid needs to go back to English Composition 101 and get off the high horse and RESEARCH.

BECAUSE OF FUCKING VIETNAM AND THE NAPALM, THE MEDIA AND THE WAY THAT MEDIA FILM PORTRAYS WAR USING LOGICAL FALLACIES TO TWEAK OUR EMOTIONS. IS WAR BAD? WAR IS CHAOS. THE TROOPS WEREN'T BAD. So the reasons that we went in to Iraq in the first place WAS because:
Kuwait got annexed by a dickhead who was gassing his own people and wanted more control of OPEC, Saudi Arabia, one of our MOST CRUCIAL MIDEAST ALLIES AT THE TIME, was like FUCK THAT SHIT, we were like HELL NO, we went in, ...pushed Saddam the FUCK OUT, the Ba'athists started BURNING the oil fields of Iraq because they assumed that we were only there to TAKE OVER THEIR OIL, we didn't manage to kill him but we did manage to destroy a WHOLE buttload of important strategic places and then the U.N. sanctioned Iraq heavily which didn't work because the Ba'athist party takes care of itself first.
WHILE ALL OF THIS IS GOING ON, Osama Bin Laden is using the media distractions to BOMB AND MAIM AND KILL:
