So guess what...
My laptop got corrupted. Big time. A virus slipped through, one of those ones that disguises itself as an antivirus program, and messed everything up. While I managed to get it off my computer with relative ease, something happened to my login, which caused it to go haywire and tell me that none of my programs existed, and thus I couldn't open anything, not my true antivirus, not the internet, not even freecell.
I just about died.
Thankfully, not only could I access my files (so all my documents, pictures, music etc) but when I opened a new login, everything works perfectly, so I'm saved! And have spent the past two days moving everything across from one login to another, including the highly extensive favourites bar- that had ALL my websites that I couldn't remember the addresses to and ALL the LJ links- that's over 100 stories, pages and communities saved! Phew.
So now, I have even more to catch up on, since I lost three days worth of reading up on not only last years BB's that I haven't finished, but this years too, plus whatever came out in the last few days.
Sigh.
