Turn 12 discussion

Jun 30, 2008 09:39

Hey everyone!

I'm a new member, a fan of Code Geass and of Lelouch/Shirley (I also state the obvious...-_-;), so I was thrilled when I found this comm!
But sad when I saw that it's kind of dead...T_T
So (if anyone is still here, that is?) does anyone want to discuss Turn 12 of CG?

Get ready for my comment/rant/fangirling/andanythingelse about this turn. I have mixed feelings about the episode. I am happy yet worry. I'm happy that something happened! Yes! Shirley is not just a background character! I was fearing that the staff already finished with her story and just kicked her off to the side.

This episode tells us again that Shirley still has feelings for Lelouch even though her memories were wiped out. She fell in love with him again. That has to mean something. She's not just an average lovesick girl. I love the fact that Lelouch didn't want to involve her anymore. He cares about her and is concerned for her well-being...maybe more than a friend. Damn it, he even jumped to save her. Their moment together is where I was like "OMG! TRUTH OR LIES?" I know that Lelouch just said that he liked her to explain the kiss, he was just thinking of an excuse. I died a bit inside thinking he was acting...though when she called him a liar, he instantly screamed...and I wondered maybe his words aren't completely false...there is still hope. So far there have been a lot of moments with the other ladies that I was getting uneasy about his relationship with Shirley. As the scene continued with the teasing to do more than a kiss and Lelouch totally being a gentleman (@_@, why? DO MORE!) my inner fangirl was screaming in joy. I love his shocked face (Yes, be shocked! You idiot look at the girl! LOVE HER!) when Shirley told him that she was bothered about how he was acting lately. She noticed the difference in Lelouch, she wanted the old Lelouch, her Lulu back. And the music plays at this time...which just adds more to the mood.

Then when she asks to close his eyes...was I the only one hanging on to her seat praying for a kiss? I wonder IF she did kiss him would he have pulled away or given in? He was expecting a kiss. He's a nervous wreck when it comes to these things...so I would expect him to just freeze and blush. Anyways, instead we get this which is just as good....and Shirley still determined as ever to make him fall in love with her. (YES!) I like that he was surprised when she said that...and that love is power. Even the president, Milly, approves of this couple!

Though, my excitement almost died at the end. Thanks to Orange-kun and his canceller, Shirley got her memories. I knew that sooner or later, they were going to returned or at least Shirley was going to know the truth however, I didn't expect it to be like this, not after finally getting her date with Lelouch. This just ruins their blooming relationship. I can smell the angst/guilt/sorrow coming soon...it has me worry. So what is she going to do? Confront him? I won't be surprised if she forgives Lulu and joins the Black Knights. What about Lelouch? Keep her close or push her away to keep her safe? Also now that she has her memories, does she remember Nunnally? She's put back into that situation that might have her go insane. (Flashbacks of Mao.) However, in the preview everything looks fine. (Except the fact that Lelouch is wearing his old clothes again and Suzaku with his lame sunglasses are there...why are you there? Though it adds to the drama.)

Overall, the episode was a roller coaster ride...It was a funny episode with the whole chasing Lelouch yet an intense one as well. It shined light on the couple and hinted for something more. Hopefully the next turn will answer questions.

THANK YOU! ^_^
Turn 12 made me a very happy little girl.

But after Orange-kun it was:
1)"O_O...oh f--k Shirley is going to need therapy after this is over."
2) "Well, angst-fest = hugging-fest, right?"
3) "Dear Sunrise,
Kill Shirley. I kill you.
Love, Lady Gamma"

Also, sidenote in the prev., wasn't Lelouch wearing those clothes when he wiped her memory the first time?
And, Orange-kun has a Geass canceller, does that mean any attempt to use a geass again won't work or can Lelouch still use it?

But was it him who saved Shirley, or was that Sayoko? If I missed something, tell me, but I'm pretty sure it was Sayoko hiding behind the desk before Anya attacked, because she was thinking "I'm sorry, Miss Shirley" or something of the sort.

It was Lelouch. n__n

Because didn't Sayako appeared behind Milly ( for like a second ) after everyone found Lelouch and Shirley?

Yeah, that's what confused me. I guess they must have done some kind of switch right before he dived to save her, because it definately felt like it was Lelouch who was talking to her afterward.

But gawd, it was SO cute when Shirley squished his cheeks. X3

Haha, i think Lulu was A LOT nervous near the end, something that made me realize how cute he is when he is at campus. <3
{and Shirley was fighting so hard NOT to kiss him. XD}

But yes, the end was ~_____~
