1. Which Johnny band is your favourite?
Kanjani8.
2. Why?
The pure crack, the perviness, the music and band sessions, the friendship and brotherhood having seen all the hardships they went through together. Or the fact that Uchi still has a special place in their hearts. I remember reading a story of how Ryo and Yasu delibrately left a space between them at a concert when the group were holding hands. In front of them stood a fan holding Uchi's uchiwa so Ryo/Yasu reassured her that Uchi was right there. Or when Yoko's mother had passed away, the members gathered around and promised to be Yoko's family from then on.
3. Who is your favourite Johnny's?
Argh. Yoko, Subaru and Riida, but Yoko with the slight edge.
4. Why?
He’s a crap singer, they only put him in charge of the bongos, he’s a glutton, forever whining and bitching, loud on TV (but shy off it), idiotic and apparently cannot spell. And I love him for all those reasons and more. I love him for his kind heart, admire him for his resilience. For a girl like me, who felt down and out at one point, and couldn't stop contemplating suicide for several years, I simply cannot help but respect Yoko for his strong personality; the brave face he put on when his mother passed away, supporting his family at a young age, doting on his brothers and his love for all those close to him. Of course, there's his ojiichan as well, as evidenced by this web entry. I managed to pick myself up before knowing Yoko, but he's made me glad and determined to be happy, more than ever!
5. When is your very first contact with a Johnny?
In the 90s when I first started watching J-dramas.

Domoto Tsuyoshi.
7. How did you know him/them?
From the drama 金田一少年の事件簿. Heck, I didn’t even realise it was him when I started watching Domoto Kyoudai years later, not until they started showing clips of their younger days. Dear God, he was my first celebrity crush.
8. When actually did you really start listening/liking JE?
2007 or 2008?
9. What incident brought you into JE?
An obvious one: Hana Yori Dango.

Yuuyake no Uta by Kondo Masahiko.

Not really… But Kanjani8 in the shower/bath? Hell yes.

Oh, this is hard… I never used to listen to much music apart from the ones my parents fed me or drama/film OSTs. The Kinks, maybe.

Argh, they’re all funny in their own ways; watching Ryo being all DoM, Okura screaming, Maru being adorably sweet and never giving up, Hina the tsukkomi and mother hen, Yasu the bullied, and Yoko the loud-mouth. But my vote goes to Subaru; he’s just extra special and random.

Even talent aside, he just has this special aura emanating from him. One of the reasons I’m drawn to Subaru as well. Not to mention, they’re both such ojiisans. (Flipping heck, since when did I find grandpas so charming?)

I don’t need one. However, if I ever meet Yoko, even just a small nod to acknowledge my existence would make me more than happy.
