Love at First Bite
I visited Casey, Beth, and their new puppy dog this week. It was really good to see them and I realized that I need to make more of an effort to spend time with my friends. I'm pretty good at staying home and losing contact with people. Anyway, on the way over to their place I picked up a few cupcakes so we could have a tasting.

Cupcake: pretty in pink, matcha green tea, red velvet, hummingbird, and blueberry
Notes: Everything was really good. The pretty in pink tastes just like a strawberry shortcake ice cream pop so it gets a lot of bonus points from me. The matcha green tea cupcake was probably the most exotic of the bunch. It was sweet and it didn't have an overwhelming tea flavor so it was very good. Casey and Beth are red velvet aficionados, and they liked that one the best.
Rating: Pretty in pink gets 5 out of 5 stars. Matcha green tea gets 4 stars, and I think I'll give the others 3 stars. There was nothing wrong with the 3-star cupcakes, it's just that I wouldn't go all the way back to Love at First Bite to get any of them. If you're in the mood for red velvet, this is probably a good place to go.
