Well... it started with SOTUS the series (SOTUS is a system wherethrough the third years teach the first years the rules of the the university and try to make them a unit. It is rigorous and hard but in the end all of them understand the meaning of it when they capture the flag with teamwork). My first thai boys love series. It started with Krist and Singto (with the evil senior and the brave freshman).
I have seen some thai romantic love stories between guys so far but all got really tragic endings (for example Grey Rainbow). And the language was so alien for my ears. But now I hardly can wait for Sunday to watch Waterboyy and 2moons. It is now Earth and Newie and God and Bas and Kimmon and Copter.
I love their lakorn names (their real names are also beautiful but hard to read and pronounce) and I love their faces. They are not so perfect like the South Korean actors but when Singto smiles I melt. Or I can not stop grinning when Kimmon is on the screen playing Ming Kwang in 2moons... that cheeky bastard... I love him so much.
And they can play real good... when Kluay was suffering because what he did to Achi and because the boy hated him for it there was real pain in Mond's eyes. Well not real real but his acting was so intense that it was believable.
Like the scene in the latest part of the Projekt S Spike (which is about a volleyball team) where Puen cried in the hospital. It was heart breaking.
Okay the kissing scenes are usually meh but sometimes they did better then in Japanese BLs where they use camera angles to make us believe there is an actual kiss although there is none.
I don't know how auditions for a role works in Thailand but there is always great chemistry between the protagonists. As if the crew and the director pay extra attention for it. They don't trust just in the screenplay (or the book) but put effort to search for the perfect actors (or actresses).
I don't like bad acting, for exapmle our daily soap at the evenings. For the most part there is no chemistry between the actors and actresses who play couples. Sometimes it is hard to watch their scenes because of it although there is always an audition for the parts they gonna impersonate.
Well I don't like Love Sick the series too much because I don't like White (he is Phun in the series), the story not bad at all though but in Love Sick the girls play well.
Those who love BLs I recommend to give a try.
I bring some eye candy (sources: google, pinterest, facebook, respected owners, thanks for them):
