Normally Wild Things Wednesday is pet-related, but today, today's "wild thing" is this:
Tesla Roadster.
Got to drive this today! It was a BLAST!
Any accusations of me lead-footing it a bit on the interstate are completely unfounded...>.>...<.<
Its regenerative braking is really odd-feeling, nothing like what my hybrid does. It's so dramatic that most of the time hitting the actual brakes are unnecessary - just releasing the accelerator ('gas pedal' would be a bit of a misnomer, wouldn't it?) so that the regenerative braking engages is sufficient.
Steering is really stiff and compounded by the small steering wheel. It's not so noticeable at highway speeds, but at low speeds, like turning in a parking lot, it's really prominent. Not quite as bad as fighting when the power steering is out on a car equipped with it - but close.
It's also really low. No, I mean really low. No, lower again. I just about fell climbing in.
I so need one. If only I had a spare couple hundred thousand lying around, lol!
