sleep when you're dead... who has time to die?
SWYD was a blast tonight!
Actual convo with the wonderful DJ Nemesis:
me: Do you have any Crüxshadows?
DJ: I have a ton of Crüxshadows! What do you want to hear?
me: Well, Eurydice is my favorite, but something like Tears might be more dancy?
DJ: Eurydice is the best song they ever wrote, but doesn't get people on the dance floor. Anything off Wishfire is usually better for that.
me: That works! Or Dragonfly, might be good too.
DJ: Give me 2 songs.
He played "Winterborn" (off Ethernaut) :D I ran out to grab ppl, spotted the terribly cute mystcbrd and practically drug her onto the dance floor. (And she kindly humored me.) :D
Was so much fun, I danced straight outta my shoes... Literally. The heel came off one, so I tore off the other heel too - instant sandals!! :P
Was really good to see everyone who came out tonight! the Foxes and MY MOM were down from Chattanooga (yes, my mom is awesome, I know! ^_^) , plusjjmacrimmon with his lady friend (hey, you never did introduce me!!), and mystcbrd and shadrone down from Huntsville as well as the local folks.
tayrune and drkghost - Sorry I missed y'all! Hopefully this next week goes much much better for you. *hugs*
Of course, being the old fogey I am, I crashed out kinda early - I can't keep up with my mom the night owl. >.< Plus, it'd been a hella busy day. Spent the morning putting together kits for Blazer BEST (woo! robots!). Of course, *last* weekend I was also doing BEST stuff... and I knew it was a bad sign when the coordinator greeted me with "Hey, you've done microprocessor stuff!"
Me: "Um, like 10 years ago!?!
Him: "That's more recent than the rest of us - sit down!" 0_o I did finally get a procedure worked out to the update all the boards. It is probably a bad sign that step 1. involved a dremel though... (And the really ironic part? They've announced an additional upgrade, but didn't release it in time for this weekend's work day.)
Anyway, this afternoon I had another appt for Bandi to change the bandage on her foot. It'd gotten dirty and ragged so the vet put a stronger splint/bandage on it.... She HATED the new one, it was larger and got in her way. Hated it to the tune of managing to get it OFF in less than 30min after we got home. 0_o Back to the vet we went! But he put an even larger one on this time, so I fear we'll be back tomorrow too, just as soon as she gets over today's excitement and sedatives...
In other news -many thanks to hearthwitch and samguss for a delicious dinner tonight! This is the second time they've had me over and cooked - I'm getting spoiled! :P Thanks again guys!
