Rant.
I work in Activities. Activities can win awards. Boss had me write four (she wrote the other four), and we submitted 8 to be considered. Two won. Both I had written. We get plaques - and SHE keeps them??
Fine.
We deliver newspapers to residents. We ordered 23 for a building of 200. We used to deliver one newspaper to each Alzheimer's Unit until we could no longer afford to do so without taking away from our own residents. Boss says to stop giving newspapers to the Alzheimer's Units. Boss tells Director of Alzheimer's Units to order their own newspapers from their own budget.
One year goes by.
Boss gets promoted to Director of Alzheimer's Units. Alzheimer's nurse scolds me for not bringing them newspapers anymore. Former Boss standing there. I say, "You're supposed to order your own newspapers. We haven't given you newspapers in over a year." I look to Former Boss for acknowledgment that this is true. Former Boss states, "I don't know anything about this. You are supposed to be giving us a newspaper daily."
