(no subject)
I'm feeling wicked homesick today. I feel like I'm missing a lot right now by not being there. I missed my cousin's wedding shower today, my sister's playing at Symphony hall in a couple of weeks, I want to be home for Easter at my grandparents' swedish church, I want to celebrate my birthday with my grandfather (his birthday is the day after mine). This is a hard time of the year not to be home.
But DC in the Spring time is wonderful. The cherry blossom festival started this weekend! The trees are beautiful and the weather is gorgeous too!
This weekend was such a good weekend. Friday I went to a battle of the bands for St. Jude's hospital. Derek James came down from NY to play. He was amazing! My friend Tiffany works at the record label he's on DC office. He's playing the Cherry Blossom festival on wed so a bunch of us are going to watch. I'm wicked excited! And Sam's boyfriend and 2 of his friends stayed with us this weekend. Having guys spend the weekend was a good time. They're all italian guys from long island and they were hysterical! Gabe let himself into our room friday night after ange and I were in bed. He came over, tucked us in, and kissed us on the forehead ahahahahahaha He was completely shitfaced so it was more adorable than weird. Yesterday we drank a bit and went and chilled at the monuments. It was fun!
There's a lot going on over the next couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it. Next weekend I'm going to NYC!! Then the weekend after I'm turning 19 and Regina Spektor's coming to play a free show at our campus! The next weekend is the free Sheryl Crow/Tim McGraw/Faith Hill concert for global warming. Then I'm coming home for the wedding. Then there's one more weekend (which is also our big dance performance). Then I'm only her for 3 more days! I'm excited for the summer!!
