Spent the better part of the morning looking at housing swaps. Sigh. I really wish we could go this winter. I’m desperate to get out of here at least for a little while. Berlin is so damn dreary in the winter. The block-style communist era architecture feels like bars of a prison and everything looks so gray and depressing, including the people. Berliners are not known for their niceties at the best of times but in winter they’re like stodgy, bitter old people who don’t have anything better to do but be assholes to everyone they encounter. Oh well, guess I’ll just have drink my way through the winter blues per usual.
