i am having crazy amounts of orgasms just thinking about recieving my mary's "bundled with love" letter. i just talked to her via aim for all of 20 minutes and of course i feel so much better & more complete than i have in a while. we discussed our boyfriends' great hairstyles & fashion sense, we discussed my anti-winter clothing follies of last year. &we discussed the fact that it will be nearly three months until i see her again. that is lame.
for those of you lj stalkers who are unaware of my friendship with this wonderful girl, mary is the friend of great amounts who comes home to buffalo every once in a while and raises hell with me. our last outing was spent gluing dinosaurs to hotel room ceilings & stealing crazy amounts of crap and candy from doug luke's work.
knowing her is one of those things that just calms you down when things start going haywire. if anything ever changed here, or went wrong, i'd totally have mary to fall back on. in a way. how depressing that she's 20hrs away. how depressing that i get to see her once a year at the most. she should be here drinking strawberry tequilas (yum!) & chainsmoking with me. we should go on double dates & see silly art films (that have belle&sebastian for the entire soundtrack!!!). and now i realize i'm rambling.
but regardless. it's so nice hearing from her.
we saw quite possibly the worst film we've seen at dipson since we've been going. being called "storytelling", two short films about morbid things happening & really it lacked any sort of form or structure-- not that this, in all cases, is a bad thing. in this case it was, it left so many things unanswered and failed to followup or lead anywhere, really. althou the soundtrack was amazing (three new belle&sebastian songs!!!) & the stories were sometimes intriguing, it wasn't worth our money. maybe the one movie through dipson that i wont be purchasing when released on dvd.
we followed that up with "leprachaun in the hood", which was also pretty disapointing. i expected alot more leprachaun sexual encounters, alot more ghetto drug use & ebonics used in limericks. unfortunately my needs were not met & i dozed in and out of the film. even mike seemed uninterested for the most part.
the party on saturday night with his family was the most amusing thing ive experienced in a while. fratboy's singing songs requiring "ooh!"s and singing "owww."s instead. uncle rosey being completely plastered & not letting the beats stop, or putting the kareoke microphone to rest for even five minutes. i've said it before, i would pay good money to see his one man show, any night of the week.
and really all i have left to say is "i drink to cardinal puff for the first time tonight".
"once a cardinal, always a cardinal."
update!!!: guess who got her mary letter? i got my mary letter!!!
