I went right to Oslo today in the hopes of meeting Linn and borrowing Tipping the Velvet, but ended up shopping with Ida instead, which wasn't bad at all, but in fact very nice. It was mostly shopping on her part; I soared around a bit looking at different gift-options for Simon. His birthday isn't very far away at all now.

*jumps around*

And when I decided to go home it was around a quarter to five or something and already dark and my feet were really cold; I read the newspaper and almost fell asleep on the boat, and then on the dock, while I waited for Simon, I picked up this little kitten who was running around. It was cold and raining, so I cuddled it and noticed it looked like the cat who a social worker at my school had reported missing; he'd sent out an e-mail with a plea and a picture of it. So I decided, what the heck, if it isn't his kitten then Simon probably won't mind taking care of it a little, anyway.

Soo, Simon picked me and the kitten up and it was mostly still and let me cuddle it for the whole car-trip, and it was s friendly! In Simons flat it immediately jumped up on the sofa and laid down, before climbing into my lap when I sat next to it. I wish I could've kept it. <3 Obviously, we identified it as the social workes kitten, so we went to deliever it at their home, which we spent about twenty minutes trying to find. Hey, it was dark and the roads all look alike here, you're bound to wind up a little lost. The cat settled down with purring, chewing on my sleeve and licking my hand. I suppose he was hungry, his (very relieved and happy) owners said he'd been missing since Saturday and I don't think kittens are very good at catching food in November.

So that was my big animal-rescue adventure for today! A little bigger adventure this, than all the small adventures I've had with saving seasonal disorientated frogs who've tried to cross the road in a) the wrong direction ie away from the water and b) fatally slow tempo.
