They brought the realism. They brought the cool. And they brought the Fear. That's a big element of the movie, but it works thematically to tie things together so I'm happy.
It's not long, it's nuanced. The new batsuit is great, Batman doesn't move like a marionette. Check out the cowl, too, it's freaky.
Bale does a superb job with Wayne/Batman. The Voice works. Michael Cayne and Morgan Freemen are excellent, as always, supporting.
I haven't been in a crowd that excited before a movie, that engaged by a movie or that satisfied after a movie in a long time. To get all three was a real treat.
