Rename

May 07, 2009 11:39

I've had the my old username for forever and it was really starting to bug me (real name + number = nono) and then abaddonnox was lovely enough to buy me a rename token (THANK YOU AGAIN, ABE <3), so now:

chelle86 --> lejlkwiet

rename

While I agree that numbers in nicknames are hard for people to remember, yours was much easier than mine.

And that new name might be harder to remember and type.

Still. YAY! new names! *will still not change her LJ name*

Well, rather than the numbers being hard to remember, it bothered me that it was my year of birth XD

And I know, but I like the way it looks |D

/o/ I like Roadie's LJ name though :>

Ah, trying to hit on teenagers again, eh? ;p

People always tried to make my number into 1986, cause they thought it should be my birthyear, when in fact it is the "birthyear" of my football club.

Don't worry. I will keep the name. I just got rid of the number for my Dreamwidth Journal, because I could have "Roadie" there and that is tons easier to spell. :D

MY SECRET PLAN HAS BEEN UNCOVERED :P

*nod* I know what you mean...I used to think it was supposed to be 1986 too XD

I'm not bothering to get a Dreamwidth account. I know I'll end up never using it >.>; I hardly update here as it is.

Don't worry. I won't tell anyone and also, I have a crush on a buy almost 10 years younger than me, so I should not talk. Though, seeing as I am in my 30s, it at least makes things legal. ;p

Well, it was supposed to be 1896. Which is why I use that account and didn't open one with 1986. Which is not my birthyear anyway. Though I like that people think I am that young. :D

I don't post here or there or anywhere either. I just wanted one so I could have a good name and can read and comment to some people who went over there and have an account just in case people should go there for good once everything works.

Sneaky XD At least I know where you got the year from now!

*nodnod* Yeah, if people really did all move over there, I'd move too, but it doesn't seem like it so far so I'm holding off for now.

Didn't you ever wonder why I use this icon with the "96" on all the time? That is how much attention you pay. *pouts* ;p

From my friendlist it is more than those who moved (or well, opened accounts) at insane journal or greatest journal after the lj fails and an entire fandom is very eager to move over there. So I thought it could not hurt to have an account there.

But I do have several fandoms that seem to be staying here and I have a permanent account and theemdash. Why would I need to move away as long as LJ doesn't do anything to me?

My attention span is sadly lacking, I know. XD

Well, a lot of people have threatened to move and never did, so I'm not too worried XD But yes, snagging a name you like while it's still available is a good idea.

Yeah, but this time it is without reason. There was no strikethrough or other fail. So I guess those people talking about it now are a bit more serious about it, as they are not talking out of a rage.

I put it down to SHINY NEW PLAYTHING syndrome XD

I find it ironic how I refuse to use other journal systems when I have over 20 LJ accounts O.o

That could also be a reason. We will see how things develope. So far I like Dreamwidth. Especially now that they gave me my comments. :D

I only have two LJ accounts, so it would not be too bad to have to move over there.

20 is really obsessive, though. I hope those are all role playing accounts and some of them are on hiatus. Else you might have a problem. ;)

I might take a look at it at some point.

Hehe, yes, even if I moved my personal journal I'd still need to use LJ for RP.

XD One's a writing journal, and yes the others are all roleplaying accounts. 8 of them are active. I DO have a problem.

8 is not as bad as 20 though. So you only have a small problem. :D

I don't mind your numbers. Plus I know that's when your football club was founded. See? It made me learn something.

YAY! for learning things. :D

But yeah, people on my friendlist probably have heard the story a few times before and remember (or if the haven't heard the story, they have seen my name often enough in their inbox on comment notifications ;) , but people not on my friendlist do this

... )

I still love you, though.
