Ever After High: Doll - Lizzie Hearts

May 24, 2015 16:56

Lizzie Hearts was found on the same day as Dexter Charming, I was very excited to actually see her in the flesh, as there are certain dolls which are nearly impossible to find, not just here either, if what I read on the websites are accurate.

Lizzie is a Wonderlandian, being the daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and as such is one of the smaller dolls, like Maddie & Kitty.  Her hair makes her look taller than she actually is, though.

Lizzie’s dress is one of my favourite items of clothing in the whole range of dolls.  It is a base colour of black, and on the front is a print of red swirls, which look like the basic back of a pack of cards.  The dress comes to about mid-thigh, and is a quite tight fit.  On her hips are gold and red tulle ruffles with a diamond pattern printed on the top layer.  The dress is sleeveless, and is finished off with a red plastic ruff around her neck.  The tightness of the dress doesn’t seem to be a factor in her movement, as the material it’s made out of seems to be quite stretchy.

Her stockings are black with red hearts printed on them, just lovely!  Her shoes are red with what looks like cards on the front, her heels also look like cards too.  My shoes don’t have painted parts to them, as my Lizzie is of the second wave, and doesn’t have some of the extras (like some of the jewellery!).  She has dangly gold heart-shaped earrings, and like Maddie, she has painted hands (black in this case), and black cuffs so it looks like she is wearing gloves.  She also comes with a red heart-shaped purse with a red strap that doesn’t open.

Lizzie’s hair is black with locks of bright red on either side of her face.  There is a small raised bump of hair at the top of her head, which is contained within her gold crown.  In the promo pictures it looks much larger than the one I have, and looking at other pictures on the web, that seems to be consistent across the board.

Something that sets Lizzie apart from the other dolls in the range so far is the way her face is painted.  She has the same round face as the other dolls, with red lipstick and blue eyes - and the little reflective detail in the iris is a heart!.  So far, so normal, but Lizzie also has a heart-shaped birthmark on the left eye.  Well, it’s not actually a birthmark, but her mother had one, and she paints it on every morning to be more like her mother.  I think she’s the only doll who has something like that on her face - the others are all pretty straight forward lipstick, blush & eyeshadow paints.

A Few Fun Facts about Lizzie Hearts:

{C}§ {C}Parent: The Queen of Hearts from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

{C}§ {C}Roommate: Duchess Swan

{C}§ {C}Secret Heart's Desire: I'm proud of my heritage, though I do wish to be a kinder Queen of Hearts. All that shouting hurts my throat.

{C}§ {C}My "Magic" Touch: With a flick of the wrist, I build anything you can imagine out of cards.

{C}§ {C}Storybook Romance Status: I'll wait until I get back to Wonderland to think about that.

{C}§ {C}"Oh Curses!" Moment: People take me way too literally. When I yell, "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD," that's just my Wonderland way of saying "Please" and "Thank you."

{C}§ {C}Favourite Subject: Grimmnastics. I royally heart croquet. They've even made me captain of the team!

{C}§ {C}Least Favourite Subject: General Villainy. Why does everyone think I'm a villain? My destiny is to be a riddle!

{C}§ {C}Best Friends Forever After: Kitty Cheshire and Madeline Hatter are the only ones who understand me. Literally.
