A few things, as always.

0) I played my bassoon for the first time in about five years tonight. God, I love that instrument. I really enjoyed it and was HUGELY surprised by how naturally my fingers still move, but the range of emotions it brought out in me was just nutty! SOMEbody has unresolved feelings about abandoning her instrumental studies. . . I-P

1) Someday I will share a representative and digestibly sized selection of the wedding pictures with you all, I promise. They're all lovely, but there're HUNDREDS of them!

2) Brett and I've been hanging out with my family in New Mexico since the honeymoon. It's been both very stressful at times (pity the fools who live in close proximity to parents/in-laws directly after a wedding - thank god they love him!), and really frickin' awesome. They don't call our state the Land of Enchantment for nothing, and my heart is filled to bursting that Brett has had this opportunity to begin to love and understand my home so well.

3) We leave for Anchorage, Penny in tow, in less than a week.

4) We're driving there! Thank god for good music, good company, friends in Seattle to stop and see(!), AND for our brand spanking new copy of Douglas Adams' wild and crazy radio show, the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (thanks, londoners!).

5) I am both very excited and crazy scared to be moving to Alaska. Natural, yes?
