Baby's First Ultrasound

Baby's first ultrasound was today. I am 8 weeks and 1 day. The nausea has been absolutely horrible since last week, but seeing my baby on the screen and hearing the heartbeat today made it very much worth it.
I cried when I saw the baby, but I had to try to hold it in because the scan was vaginal and I didn't need to be jerking around. The heartbeat made Bobby cry. 172 beats per minute, nice and strong and even. He was thrilled that it sounded so perfect!
We get to go back and find out the gender in 10 weeks or so. I insist it is a girl. He insists it is a boy. His mom agreed with me until she saw the ultrasound. Now she thinks it's a boy. LOL.
All anyone wants it to be, though, is healthy. All signs are looking good! :D
