So, just now I finish my first ever day of work in the grown up world, would you look at that? And I was said that I did a good job =)
This position started out as a random cv sent out just because I got pissed that I didn't get this other job. Then it progressed to being fishily good. Then from 'No, I can't do this, it's ridiculous' it gracefully glided to 'Who can escort me to god-knows-where to meet god-knows-who?'. And now, I started working on my own company - I talked to banks in UK, I talked about renting office services, I translated and bullied the Web people to hurry it up with the site, my Mum accidentally scared the crap out of a bank representative when the girl thought she would call me up instead of emailing me. It was fun. More work tomorrow. Decisions, research, translation, correspondence and... I guess it's nice =)
It doesn't pay as much as I hoped for, but still it's more than what my friends make at the jobs I applied to. And I feel sufficiently tired at the end of the day not to feel guilty. This could actually turn into something good, I think.
