"Having fun?"
Onslow Warner froze in mid jump at his wife's voice, which didn't really do much other than cause him to lose his balance and fall butt first into the puddle he was aiming for. Feeling the cold muddy water permeating his jeans, he gathered the remains of his dignity and looked over at his beloved. "I was until you distracted me."
"I didn't think you were a puddle jumper," his beloved said, clearly trying not to laugh at him. "You're just so serious most of the time."
"I am serious," he protested , gingerly rising to his feet. He ran his hands down his back end and was annoyed by the sounds of loud plopping as he sluiced the mud off of him. "Never mind what the personality points state. I take my life and my goals very seriously."
"And the puddle jumping?"
"It's the coding. It grows wearying having to fight it all the time."
Her lips twitched. "I suppose you tub pirate too."
He shrugged his shoulders. "I think I am due there now anyway. I do not enjoy muddy clothing. It is undignified."
"Think I could join you?"
"You only have three playful points, I am surprised you would offer."
"It sounds like fun. Besides, it's good to ignore the coding sometimes."
"Indeed," he said with a smile.
