Sell-Out

Sep 12, 2006 10:30

Thoughts are tumbling, and I have a need to write. Now that I sit down, the thoughts won't come, at least, in a way that I would like.

This is not about people. Not about them being evil, or less than. This is also not directed at anyone here; but it's not that long. I won't cut unless someone asks.

Why should one group of people be 'more' than another? Singled out, put on a pedestal? I know this probably sounds hypocritical to some of you, coming from a white, middle-class, religious 'right' person. I think you should be hired and paid on your ability to do the job. Period, the end.

Corporations shouldn't be allowed to donate to any group without approval of the stock-holders. Your profits are no longer your own - that's what happens when you incorporate; deal with it. Use the board to run business, not private agendas. This goes for all boards, including collegate.

Ah. This is just getting idealistic. I'm not at all against helping people. I'm not against people having a voice. I'm not going to hate or publically ridicule groups based on wide-sweeping generalizations. I'm also not going to give up my ideals or sit on the bench.

I hope you understand.
