Don't mind me while I procrastinate.

Pillow Talk is a sex comedy that starts out about two people in college-the hot-tempered Shilah and the (sometimes) rational, off-beat Victor. The two sleep together on a regular basis, but to the eyes of the public, are just two argumentative friends. Their strange and off-the-wall conversations before, after, and during are possible only through their relationship that is more than fuck-buddy but not quite girlfriend and boyfriend.

This is a fictional story. But elements of real life remain.

Pillow Talk is a cross between Hokazono Masaya & Betten Court’s Girlfriend and Furuya Usamaru’s Short Cuts.

…doesn’t mean anything to you? Okay.

Basically, it means it’s got avant-garde mangaka Furuya Usamaru’s unusual strip format and absurdist influence while retaining strong influences from Hokazono & Betten’s unconventional relationship scenarios.

When writing the dialogue for the series, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to write it as a fictional story, or if I wanted to transform it into a comic. Ultimately, I chose comic because much of what is funny visually would have been lost in description.

GENRE: Mature, Comedy, Ecchi, Slice of Life

I've always been most successful at "writing what I know" -- which was proven during my last season as a Speech competitor during high school. Somehow, the judges can tell when real life has crept in and they love it, so I can only hope that this series will not be a complete personal failure. It is rubbish mostly, but a surprising number of the conversations or scenarios have actually taken place so I hope that the few people to glance at it will find something funny and something real in it too.

EXCERPT OF RAW SCRIPT:
Christ, you sleep a lot.
Sorry.
It’s okay, I like the view.
Creepy!
What would you do if I stuck my penis in your mouth while you were sleeping?
I’d bite it off.
Damn, woman. No mercy.
None.
Hint taken, I won’t.
