Wah! Yayoi Ogawa's characters in Candy Life AND Baby Pop show up in Tramps Like Us (You're My Pet/Kimi wa Petto) vol 10! I'm an idiot and didn't realize Tokyopop had released it...but it was really good to see those folks make their cameos. ^.^
I got all emotional. (angry, sad, stressed, frustrated)
"Because there's no 'en,' no matter how many chances there might be, you'll never be together." T____T
*cry cry*
Okay, so I've been strange lately. I stayed up all night Thursday to put together a presentation with an in-depth literary analysis of the book Language of Blood by Jane Jeong Trenka. It is her memoir on being a Korean adoptee brought to Minnesota as an infant with her four-year old sister and her struggles with "feeling" white, but being denied a racial body by her family, and being denied a "white" body by everyone else. She undergoes a terrifying experience with a stalker who plans (extensively) to kill her, and her experiences while visiting her birth mother in Korea make you want to cry. A worthwhile read.
After staying up all night, did the presentation rather dramatically (XD) as a "qualified white literary expert," then crammed for half an hour for a "quiz" (it's an exam) on Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well, which I hadn't read (but be proud! I'm pretty sure I accurately memorized a passage in the ten minutes before the quiz for an easy 30% of the grade *brag* :P). Then skipped class early for a study abroad orientation that lasted from 2:00-5:30...I wanted to shoot myself in the head halfway through.
Walked in the cold, crisp air around campus afterwards with a friend whom I hadn't had a long conversation with in a long time. We both ended up sharing some pretty personal stuff. It was a reconnection after being disconnected, even if we saw each other 4 times a week. This meeting had meaning. En? ^_^ She seemed to be calling out for me. I'm going to miss her when she graduates. It seems all of the close acquaintances I've met this year are graduating or leaving in their own way.
I didn't have my first meal of the day until about 6:30pm.
Someone remarked that I looked like hell. LOL.
After that, I stayed up until about 2am playing video games and watching movies with a friend. It's been so long since I've shared a bed with somebody. There was comfort in that.
