So, I got connected on Friday. I will now relate the tale of their first fuckup(with me). I doubt it'll be the last.



Friday
So, I get connected, Internet is fine. I ring my mobile to chek the line and number. Fine. I call the number back, and get " t#Thank you for calling Wilkie Law Accountants, our office is closed ...".

Saturday
So, I call them up, after an hour on the phone, i finally speak to a "Techie" who gives me a couple of diagnostic things to try, and asks me to call back with the results(it's a free number at least). When I try to call back, on the "direct line" i get amessage saying that their lines re-open in the morning.

I take some time out to complain to family and friends.

Monday morning
My sister calls them, to complain tht she cannot get through to me. They tell her that the details she has given do not match those on the account and is she sure she's got the right number?

I then call them, starting with all the checking i have done, finally managing to convince the guy that I have't made a mistake. The faults dept finally check the line and can't find any problems. They book me an engineer, who is due on Thursday.

My sister and I have checked online, and in the phone book, to discover that "my" number is listed all over the place as the number for this accountancy firm. It's still a current number. The eejits.

So I'll be demanding that they change my number tomorrow. And complaining. A lot. Not that it is likely to do much good. A friend of mine is going to his MP about them. I think I might be joining him.

EDIT: I called them. I got, i think, a native english speaker who tells me my new number will be active in 24hours. Once i'm sure it's working, i'll cancel the engineer.
