So first of all: Italy yay! I decided to cheer for Italy based solely on two things:
1. Their uniforms were blue, and blue is my favoritest color ever, ever since I was a little Leila and knew what colors were.
and
2. Their starting line-up was more attractive

And, yay, Italy. I have seen about 10 seconds of the World Cup, but I like Italy, so good for them.

I would've picked a team to cheer for the same way. The only experience I have with soccer football is when my little bother used to play and we'd go to his games.

France would have had a chance if Zidane didn't fuck up. He let his team down.

No kidding! I was really surprised he let himself get carried away like that, honestly, especially so close to the end. And when he was about to retire, too. He should have known better, he was the only really major player they had left by that point.

And it was sad that he didn't even get to go up on the podium to get a medal or anything, after.

Yes, but see, Portugal made Beckham cry, remember (and Beckham trumps everything, because he is Teh Hot, and did you know he has something tatooed on his arm that's in Hindi, because I did not until last night when I went looking for a pic to icon-ify)? And Germany had more hot guys overall, so they win in the hottness game. Ronaldo is hot, but he can't carry the team by himself :)

I voted for Italy because I love Italian food and because they aren't French.

YAY! I haven't watched any of the World Cup and I'm proud of that.

Which is as good a reason as any.

And dude, you totally missed hot guys who were occasionally shirtless! The only real reason to watch any sport, much less one which you know nothing about :)
