Christmas '06
Christmas at my parents house was so nice this year. There's something about being 'at home' that relaxes me more then anything else, even WITH the occasional family tiff. Nigel & I spent Saturday morning finishing our wrapping and playing video games before he drove me out to Braid Skytrain to meet up with my sister and my dad for a ride out to Maple Ridge..

Nigel spent Christmas Eve & Day at his brother Nathans place with Nathans Fiancé Carly, his dad who was out from Whitehorse, and his other brother Neil. They headed down to Washington Christmas Day to visit with the rest of their relatives, most who hadn't seen Nigel in about four years (not since he took me down there to meet them when we first met).

Saturday night Kaiti & I made spritz cookies and spent some quality time. Spritz are my BIGGEST Christmas tradition.. they're pretty much the only kind of cookie I could eat until I was sick. They're all doughy & amazing.. mmm..
My parents had their entire kitchen redone this past October - I LOVE IT.. (see before & after pictures here)

We got bored after the Spritz Cookie making and decided to have a photoshoot with Santa..
We're clearly cut from the same cloth.. (and my camera lens is so huge I can't hold it up on my own :S )

Dinner Saturday night was Spaghetti - MY FAVOURITE.
I headed over to rijjer's parents house for visits after dinner. Sue & Tom are probably my favourite parents ever - besides my own of course. Little Leroy was there, he's five and awesome. (though apparently not after a few days with him) - Erica & I did the gift swap, sort of... she forgot my present in Vancouver.. and watched Christmas home videos of her & Angel & Brandy from 1991. Gooood Times.

My moms friend Shirley spent Christmas with us this year too.. it was awesome to have other people around since my grandparents and other cousins didn't make it out this year.

Tina Louise stopped by too, we grew up next door to each other and I generally don't see her unless we're in Maple Ridge at the same time or happen to run into each other, usually wasted, at the bar on Fridays.

Everything wound down by 11:30 and Nigel, Kaiti, Greg & I headed downstairs to watch The Devil Wears Prada and relax/fall asleep/take pictures of ourselves.

I got a some awesome stuff for Christmas too. A gift certificate for Leo's Camera (polarizing filter!), new sheets, kitchen stuff, the post secret book (second one), awesome tights & gloves & necklaces from Urban Outfitters, chocolates & goodies.
Good Christmas.. and I guess now comes New Years.
