The Song Remains the Same...

So I've done my gym workout, it hasn't started snowing yet, and I'm sitting here in my gym clothes, working on another Dean mix instead of getting ready for work.

I have to make a couple of comments on last night's Supernatural or else I'm going to burst.

My god, what an episode. It felt like it went by in seconds, rather than an entire hour. I was so glued, and there were so many amazing things.

Anna's fate was sealed the minute the fangirls starting hating on her, which is quite sad. She was hardly the worst character in the world.

But I'd actually like to comment on a very small specific thing.

Mary used to sing "Hey Jude" to Dean.

I think about it, and I get all teary. Because I look at the lyrics of that song, and it's...so...Dean.

Hey Jude
Don't make it bad
Take a sad song
And make it better

And anytime you feel the pain
Hey Jude refrain
Don't carry the world
Upon your shoulders

For well you know
That it's a fool
Who plays it cool
By making his world
A little colder

So let it out
And Let it in
Hey Jude begin
You're waiting for someone to Perform with

And well you know That's just you
Hey Jude
You'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulders

You look at those lyrics, and you think, wow. He's been living by those words. Which is strange for a man who is a self-proclaimed Zeppelin and Stones junkie.

I have to wonder how much thought went into picking that song by the writers. Either none at all, or a whole lot.

*SNIFF* waaah.

And yes, I know the rest of the song could be why Dean is such a whore. Leave me alone. ;)

supernatural, music, waaaaambulance
