So, I forgot that the night before last, I was in some busy city, and had waited for a long time to get to the ATM. I noticed these teens behind me that were acting quite unruly. I got in line at McDonalds (self: WTF?!?! this is messed up shit..) and was pulling my money out of my wallet to see how much I had. The teens got in line behind me and were talking about me and one of them reached for my purse as if they were going to dip in for my wallet (which was stupid because it was obviously in my hands). I turned to look at who was getting into my purse (which was hanging slightly behind me) and another one of them reached into it as I was turning! I got pretty angry and started telling them something to the effect of : "This is my property, if you're getting into it I'm going to have to call the cops." (which was further appealed by the fact that my phone was indeed already open and cradled in my shoulder.) Another teen reached for my wallet (into my purse, though my wallet was still in my hands). I blew it. I grabbed this youths shoulders and pushed them against the wall and yelled something about how he needed to straighten up or he was going to end up in jail....
(wry grin)
When I told this story at poker last night, one of my former student's dad's who was playing with us exclaimed that he wasn't going to send his son to my school this fall... (sigh) Such is the price of honesty and storytelling in this world.
Aside, I'm going to take a cue from Seth (whom I should add I barely know, but always has something interesting to say, thanks) and admit that I do have a Netflix addiction, though I have not used it to the max of late since I've been off in the land of reggae (shudder) and sun (grin). So anyone that is a livejournal friend and has Netflix, add me to your friends list so I can fully use Netflix for all of it's indie, foreign, and good rare films glory for which it was meant to be used! Thanks.
