items of my interest lately
The past few weeks have been a blur. I'm going to try to recapture it all with my thoughts and then attempt the mountain of translating them to words. Despite my much anticipated move to Seattle, I started officially dating one of my best friends on Monday. I guess we pretty much have been for awhile, but in a very platonic way. Though we have a lot in common, for some obscure reason a romantic relationship never occurred to me until recently. I think it began sometime around when we spent an entire weekend watching the incredible LOST dvds and eating junk food together, then continued weeks later when he gingerly carressed my very broken wrist that was swollen twice it's usual size (before i knew it was broken). Then there was the dream in which we were watching movies and eating junk food (as usual) and I was trying to decide if I was going to kiss him or not. =} Was I falling in love with my dear friend? I know it's cliche, I really did try to avoid it. It makes no sense! I still have to leave. If I didn't I'd always regret it. So it's really not convenient for us right now. On the other hand, it's beautiful, graceful, easy, simple...etc.
So yeah, we went camping this past weekend and froze our bodies for an eternal night of wrestling in our minds of what to do with ourselves.We prayed that night. Monday night he told me that he'd referred to me that day as his girlfriend so, after having some time and space we decided that we may as well make it official. since he said that I had to be absolutely sure of what I wanted, I actually had to ask him to kiss me. =} ha!
i haven't been online in awhile since i was babysitting most of my spring break away, then camping the last of it, then watching Band of Brothers and hanging out with Jeff all this week. other than that i'm working, reading a lot, and am now in bloomington watching my brother play Oblivion. -dating a very good friend that i've known for years
-not worrying about what it "means"
-going to greece and egypt?
-being late (for me) in paying bills online but still paying them on time
-sending a check to the IRS for the first time this year
-visiting my brother at IU for his birthday
-camping, complete with frigid night, lacking tent, hot dogs, and s'mores
-moving to seattle
-reading a ton of Sandman books, finishing The Prison Memiors of an Anarchist, and currently absorbed in The Dispossessed
