There's no rule against having house elves, as far as I know.

I think it depends on the individual leases - levels and such. I had a clause in my lease allowing me to have one when I was on the eighth floor before moving up, anyway.

We wouldn't have one available to us even if it were in our lease, sadly. I just think if the building had one, it would get rid of the sand problem much faster than the caretaker here.

You can borrow mine, if you have any more problems. She's very efficient and currently complaining of having no work.
