 Dear LJ,

Ok so, rather amusing story to tell. (At least I think so ;) ).

Yesterday I went to the track and went running. I was about done when I noticed that this man was sitting on the steps of the bleachers just watching people. Now, ok, you'd think "This is perfectly normal" but it wasn't.... at all. This guy was decked out in all black. He had a long sleeve shirt and pants on. It was 88 degrees out. And, on top of that he had a bird with him. A real bird. A red bird to be exact. It was just chillin on his arm, watching the people like he was. To tell you the truth, I was a bit freaked out by this red bird man and if there hadn't been other people around, I would've left for fear that the bird would attack me and the man would carry me away. And when I was done running, I had to walk past the red bird man to grab my keys and water and he and his bird greeted me. I, of course, was nice and said hello back. I just found this whole scenario extremely odd.

So, perhaps this story wasn't as amusing as it is in my mind, but I just had to write it down. In case I ever am inclined to take my future red bird with me to the track when I go gothic, I'll remember this little anecdote from my past.
