What you said about doing nothing makes complete and TOTAL sense, absolutely. I wish I were as good as you sound about squeezing in productivity. I tend to have sort of two modes -- wildly productive about everything and lazy as shit. Unfortunately, the former strikes more often than the latter, heh. And augh a triathlon huh? That is hardcore.

Giggling my butt off because I had to look up some of your people! I don't know who Lee Pace is, but at least now I have seen pictures of him. Also, Noah Emmerich omg, because he played this kind of insane scientist on the S1 season finale of TWD, and he's pretty much a mythic character on the show, despite having appeared in only one ep. Do you enjoy The Americans? I've heard mixed things about it.

A true face -- I find Ben Bass basically unwatchable, and that kind of makes me sad, because I feel as if there are a lot of reasons I might enjoy Rookie Blue. But along with all my other personality quirks comes that stupid all or nothing thing that usually applies to actors for me, in addition to everything else. I don't KNOW; I just can't watch him. Clearly this is not normal at all though, as several people I hugely admire find him way hunky.

I am not getting LJ notifs. Huh.

Wildly productive or wildly not, those are both pretty good things to be! Being lazy as shit is just super necessary, sometimes, unfortunately not all the time.

Why was Noah Emmerich so mythic in his one TWD episode?! I am curious! You know, I went back and forth on The Americans all season? I super loved it, I super did not, certain things really worked for me, certain things really did not. I feel like it would've been better with only like half the episodes, maybe? So a miniseries, basically.

Your Ben Bass feelings, I love them so much. Have you seen him in anything else, or did you just try out RB and have an adverse reaction? Obviously I am not at the unwatchable stage with him, but a lot of times on rewatch I find myself thinking that if I didn't love Sam Swarek so much, I'd possibly actually hate him. (WAIT NO I TAKE IT BACK, I COULD NEVER.)

I'm not getting notifications either, LJ is broken maybe.

TWD SPOILERS IF ANYBODY CARES leigh57 May 17 2013, 13:08:56 UTC
Noah's Emmerich's character is so mythic (you're going to be so sorry you asked me a TWD question) because in the last episode of S1 the surviving group members make it to the CDC and this kinda crazy scientist guy, Dr. Jenner, lets them in. He's the only person left in the entire CDC -- the building is basically being run by this giant computer. Anyway, the semi-short version is that at first the guy seems super great and gives everybody alcohol and food and hot showers, but eventually they discover that he's locked them all down in a building that's counting down to massive thermonuclear self-destruction. BUMMER. Of course they get out (they're actually saved by my girl, Carol, who happens to have a handy grenade in her purse just like I always do), but we also later discover that Jenner told Rick (group leader) the giant secret, which is that everyone has the zombie virus and no matter how you die, even if a zombie never touched you, you'll reanimate.

Unless someone destroys your brain, ahahahahaha. SHOW.

I have not in fact seen Ben Bass in anything else. I have weirdly visceral reactions to some actors and actresses, and he just happens to be one of them. Every now and then there's someone about whom I just don't have an opinion, but that's RARE.

Ahahahaha, are you kidding, that description of what goes down is THE GREATEST. The countdown to thermonuclear self-destruction and Carol saving the day with grenades and the giant zombie virus secret: I can totally see why Jenner is so legendary!

And I'm dying at your visceral reaction to Ben Bass.

Carol is the greatest; I am just saying. I need to make some icons of her. Everybody icons Daryl, NOT THAT I AM COMPLAINING, but Melissa McBride has the most fab smile.

Srsly you should watch the ep just for Noah Emmerich being crazy. It's effing hilarious. He's like WOO WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE TOGETHER, BOO YAH!

MAYBE I WILL.

ALSO WAIT, I never realized Melissa McBride was the actress's name. I've been reading your tags and captions on tumblr, not seeing the images because they don't usually load on my phone, and thinking you were reblogging Melissa McCarthy of Bridesmaids fame, and have been so, so confused by it.

I'm an idiot. I need more coffee.

Look, I finally made an icon of her. I'm glad you motivated me to do so! She's not classically beautiful (like Annie is, for example) at all, but she just has this laugh and this smile and she's so damn CUTE. Plus she's one of those people who is so good that when she cries I cry. She does the single tear thing (I have such a single tear thing, it's half of why I love Renee) and I JUST.

I need more coffee so much. I think I am going to make some to give me the strength to fold laundry:)

Your icon, it and she are lovely! Also PS, 1. I'm super glad to see you signed up for het_bigbang, and 2. I may have just signed up for a Little? Thanks for the reminder, dude!
