Chapter 20
“Where are you Jinjin?” Kame whispered
He checked for the hundredth time his cell phone for any messages or missed calls from the other boy and there was nothing
“Hurry up baka”
He had been waiting for almost two hours, waiting patiently for Jin to show up, he doesn’t want to think that the love of his life ditched him when he is ready to give an answer to the other’s feelings
“Are you not going to show up Jinjin?”
He tried again to call the other boy but it just keeps on ringing making him worry
“Did something happen?” Are you alright Jin?”
Waiting makes Kame think of worse scenarios making him more agitated
“What if he was hit by a car?” Kame gasps in horror “I don’t want to be widow before I could be a wife”
An hour again had passed but still Jin didn’t showed up, he dialled Pi’s number to see if he was with Jin
“Hai moshi moshi” Pi answered
“Hi Pi! Kame here”
“Kame-chan what’s up?”
“Have you seen Jin? I was supposed to meet him in the rooftop but he didn’t show up”
“Jin? I saw him earlier heading out of the gate”
“You did?”
“Yap, he was pretty noticeable because he was running really fast like the school is on fire”
“What time was that?”
“After the bell”
“I see”
“Where are you?” Pi asked
“Still at school” Kame gloomily answered
“What you are still there?” Pi exclaimed “That baka left you”
Silence
“Wait there I’ll come and get you” Pi offered
“No it’s okay, I’ll go home now” Kame decided “Thank you Pi”
“No problem, just call me if you want anything”
“Thanks again, bye”
“Bye”
With a heavy heart Kame prepared to go home, he is feeling depress and the all too quiet school made him even more so
“Jinjin did ditched me” he whispered
He took the train so that he could get home quickly already missing the person who always walks by his side
“I’m such a baka for not telling him right away my feelings and now he gets the wrong idea” Kame continued to muse to himself
Lost in his thoughts someone jostled him from behind making him slightly lose his balance, whenever he was with Jin the other would shield him from other passengers
“Maybe it’s not yet too late” he visibly brightened at the thought “I could still confess to him”
Getting off the train Instead of heading for the direction of his house he headed straight to Jin’s house, he marched determinedly straight inside the house wanting to confess right away but was foiled by Jin’s mom calling his attention
“Hi Kame-chan” Mrs. Akanishi happily greeted
“Good evening Mrs. Akanishi” Kame warmly greeted back
“You seem to be in a hurry”
“I’m sorry to barge in like that” he said sheepishly
“It’s okay but what’s the hurry?”
“I need to talk to your baka son”
“Did you have another one of your lovers quarrel?” Mrs. Akanishi bluntly asked
“More of a misunderstanding”
“Thought as much” she said nodding in agreement
“Why?”
“Because earlier he looks like the world hates him or he was rejected by you”
“Ehh”
“Is that right?”
“Well sort of”
“Then you two must fix your problem right away” she advised
“Hai, by the way is Jinjin in his room?” Kame just remembered to ask
“Yes he is and he has been locking himself in there refusing to go down”
“I’ll just go there and clear some things with him” Kame excused
“You know what’s better?”
“What Mrs. Akanishi?”
“Stop calling me that, call me mom since you’re going to be my future son-in-law”
“What mom?” Kame followed
“You could go home bring your uniform for tomorrow and you can stay here for the night” Mrs. Akanishi suggested
“Are you going somewhere?”
“Yes to a friends party and would be staying the night” she confirmed “With you here Jin won’t be alone”
“I would love to accompany Jin”
“Go home now so that you could come back here before it gets dark, here take the keys so that you could let yourself in later”
“Ok, bye mom” Kame waved goodbye
Mrs. Akanishi waved back, she shook her head in amusement “Those two always having lover’s quarrel”

“Jin can I come in?” her mom knocks
“Yeah mom” Jin answered tiredly
The door slowly opens “I’ll be going now to meet your father”
“Ok” was the brief answer
“Do you have a fever?” her mom checks
“No mom I’m not just in the mood” he sat up “I heard voices downstairs”
“Yeah Kame-chan went here”
“Kazuya?”
“Yes”
“Did he ask for me?” Jin pretended not to be overly interested
“Nope” her mom cheerily lied
Jin slump back depress at the thought that Kame no longer wants to speak to him
“Oh yeah he did” Mrs. Akanishi pretended to think “He said you’re no longer his best friend”
“He said what?” Jin is shocked
“Bye now”
Jin didn’t even notice when her mom left his room, he feels that his entire world collapsed when he was informed that Kazuya said those world
“Why did I let my emotions get the better of me and confess like that to Kazuya? Why did I confess in anger? he self reproached “I didn’t know that it will all come to this”
Jin punches his pillow repeatedly with tears running down his face
“Stupid, stupid, stupid, I’m so stupid”
Getting tired he slumped face down on his bed, burying his face among the pillows
“Now I have lost you Kazu and I can’t no longer even call you my best friend”
Kame’s smiling face flashed in his mind making him cry more
“I should have been content being by your side Kazu”
He let his tears fall, deeply wishing that it would wash away the hurt he was experiencing right now, he knows he’s acting like a baby but he can’t help it,
“Kazuya I love you”
Jin knowing that Kazuya wouldn’t be on his side anymore makes him want to take all his words back
“Damn”
With a burst of frustration he sat up threw the pillows on his bed on the floor then flopped down on his back, using his arm he covered his eyes, the thoughts on his mind are driving him crazy
“Turtle” he whispered
Tired from crying and mind numb from too much thinking, he let sleep took over and with the name of the person who wants to be right now
“Kazuya”

Kame let himself in the Akanishi household using the key that Jin’s mom lend him, equipped with the necessary things he needs for the love battle of his life
“Prepare yourself Akanishi Jin, Turtle hunter is here to capture your heart” Kame boldly declare with a silly grin
Kame made his way towards Jin’s room and turned the knob, he is lucky the other boy doesn’t have the hobbit of locking the door, he was surprise how messy the room looks with pillows thrown all around
“What a messy boy”
He found Jin on his bed sleeping on his side, he kneeled beside the bed and rested his arms at the bed staring at the sleeping boy
“You’re very beautiful Jinjin”
He watches as Jin’s chest rise and fall in deep sleep, he can’t resist lightly touching the other’s luscious lips
“Kazuya” Jin said on his sleep
“I’m here Jinjin” Kame whispered
“I love you” and a small smile appeared on Kame’s face
He let his hand run along Jin’s hair, stroking the silky strands lovingly, brushing some fringe form the other’s eyes he noticed that there were streak of dried tears
“Baka! Crying your self to sleep”
Kame knows that he is the reason why Jin is crying nowadays and felt a little guilty
“Baka” he said again
He is mesmerize and keeps on looking at the other’s beautiful face
“It’s a good thing you’re a little stupid or else you would be too perfect”
Jin stirred a little but not showing any sign of waking up, this prompts him to already get on with his plans before the other wakes up
“I love you”
Kame lightly place a kiss on Jin’s lips before he stood up and pulled something out of his bag
