Matt's conversation with his PS3
Yes, I had a conversation with my PS3, this might help some of you with your torment and woe if you ever get a PS3. Please take notes, there will be a quiz later. Warning, there might be some humor here somewhere, but all I remember is weeping like a small child.
Me: Hey, PS3! I got tired of having that Red/Blue/Green splitter that you had to share with your dreaded enemy, the Xbox 360. I hear you have the capacity of 1080p, so I went out and bought you an HDMI cable.
PS3: oooo, HDMI! Bout time!
Me: Don't get sassy... *moves the PS3 and TV, hooking up HDMI cable to each* Right, there we go...
PS3: Ah... This is wonderful!
Me: Let's turn you on... Annnnnd, there we go!
PS3: Woohoo! Let me go through my diagnosis mode... *thinking* Here we go, 720p and 1080i...
Me: What about 1080p?
PS3: I didn't think you needed it...
Me: Why is that...?
PS3: Well, you know... The Blu-ray and all...
Me: *sigh* Don't get started. Let's do 1080i. Your dreaded enemy, the Xbox 360 can do it on my TV so let's do it...
PS3: All right... But I am not sure...
*I pop in a PS2 game into my PS3, Wild Arms 5*
Me: What the hell, PS3?! The screen is off!
PS3: Yeah, I know...
Me: Why?
PS3: The setting has an I in it...
Me: *rubbing temples* Why does that matter?
PS3: It isn't progressive. Did you know my enemies, the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii have I's in them...?
Me: What does that matter?!
PS3: The setting is of the devil, Matt.
Me: *blinking rapidly* But...
PS3: Sorry...
Me: All right... Let's go the 720p. Not as intense as 1080, but I can... Why are you looking at me like that?
PS3: Nothing...
Me: What is it, PS3?
PS3: You might regret going to 720p, that's all
Me: Why?!
PS3: No reason...
Me: *sighing, yet again while changing resolution to 720p* Let's see what we can do... *restarts Wild Arms 5*
PS3: Hmmmm...
Me: What?
PS3: Nothing...
Me: Why are you giving me a blank screen? I KNOW my TV can give me 720p...
PS3: You did it with my enemy, the...
Me: Yes, yes... It can do it...
PS3: You know, you really should consider Blu-ray...
Me: Shut up PS3! I just spent $60 on this cable and I want you to...!
PS3: It isn't MY fault that your TV is inferior!
Me: My TV is just fine!
PS3: I think you need to spend the $3000 to get a REAL HD TV...
Me: Do you know how much debt I am in just buying YOU?! I don't need a $3000 TV...
PS3: You sure...?
Me: You aren't going to do anything above 480p, are you?
PS3: Not really...
Me: Just like when you had the Red/Blue/Green Component cable...
PS3: Pretty much...
Me: Screw you, I am using the HDMI cable in 480p and I am going to ride your ass like a pony with these PS2 games...
PS3: What about games like Lair or Warhawk? I liked it when you were playing Lair earlier...
Me: I am sorry I ever rented that game...
Yes, my PS3 is a bitch. Be careful if ever you buy a PS3, it will fight you every step of the way. Learn a lesson from me, beat your PS3 regularly to keep it in line... That is all...
