Leif decided he wanted to cook"something for me in his toy kitchen. He puttered around for a bit, and I asked him what he was making for me. "Crepes!" he said.
When has he ever even heard of crepes? Why can't he be old enough to make them for real? I'm hungry!

Another good story: While caveman and I were in Vegas for Rollercon, Leif stayed with caveman's parents. One day, Karen was driving behind a Volvo, and must have mentioned something about it, because Leif corrected her, "No, that's on a girl!"

I'm letting him open junk mail right now. He says, "Oh, thank you for my mail! I've got my own own mail!"

Last night, Leif was singing "Ring of Fire." it was too cute.

Did you know that he can read? Not whole sentences or anything, but he can read short words and some longer ones. He's not just memorizing them either; he sounds them out. And, when he encounters a new word with an "e" at the end, he'll ask if that's a silent e, and adjust the beginning vowel sound accordingly. He still has the attention span of a 2 1/2 year old, but it's still kinda scary.

And while we're thinking about awesome little kids, we're all thinking about dmskb and miss Ivy, and sending good wishes and happy labor. Can't wait for updates.

And while we're sending good wishes, a double batch go out boffy. We'll visit soon. Do you need/want anything?
