Life. Last semester. Nights of endless Hebrew mixed with amazing times with Matt, my roommates and the other members of the Nerd Club at BC. A Game of Thrones and awesome weekend gaming with Jeff the Elder. Homework all-nighters in the common room with Jeanne. Watching Yellow Submarine with Jenny and Alexa. Getting into intense afternoon discussions, or having midnight doctrinal disputes with Tony. Beatles and Church music guitar sing alongs. Rushing over to Harvard Square via the wretched 86 bus. The Constant Gardner and Pan's Labrynth in Harvard Square. 1am runs to CVS for more soda. Playing Trivial Pursuit at Chris' place with Matt and Alecia. Weekend grocery shopping. Fire&Ice. Jumping around in the living room at 2am with Jeanne and Alexa, falling on the floor in an exhausted heap, and noticing the glow stars on the living room ceiling for the first time. These things matter. All in all, the semester was fun. Except Hebrew. That was hard. But the classes were good, and the other students in the class made it all worth it (yo, Allison!)
The sociology class I took, "Technology and Society" with Professor Gaiser was /awesome/. The classes with Professor Sonsino, a really wonderful Reform Rabbi who teaches here, were terrific -- as was the Passover dinner he let us sit in on at his house. Professor Lugira's "Christianity in Africa" class was also great.
Summer was ... incredible. Parts of it. Other parts were difficult. Going abroad with the family to Italy was unbelievable -- though insanely odd for first time experience abroad -- and London and Paris with Matt was like a 10-day dream. Pictures are on facebook.
In late May, instead of going to my graduation ceremony I began a Distance Learning Math class at Stockton, in NJ, so I could fulfill BC's ugly math requirement and enter the program I'm in now for my MA. Matt graduated in June, and the graduation ceremony was frigging awesome. Pictures are on facebook.
In July, Matt took the bar and I flew to Georgia to help out. He was down there from May - July studying for it. I stayed in NJ helping out my mom and finishing the math class. I saw Harry Potter with Dana in Atlantic City, which was really fun, and hanging out with Dana at Manchester Day and over the summer, catching up with Sopranos and Rainman was a blast. Her friend Jackie and her boyfriend were also really sweet, and she was nice enough to provide a list of must-sees for our time in London. When Matt got back, we flew out on Virgin and stayed 4 days each in London and Paris. When I got back I saw Grace and Johnny in "The Music Man" at Manchester High and that was schweeet. Then I moved in to the apartment up here. Pictures are on... wait.
And here I am. In Boston. Doing homework. Again. More to come later that isn't boring and update-y. I hope. For now, Dead Sea Scrolls!
