I Hate Claddagh Rings
I'm not sure why, but I think Claddagh Rings are idiotic. No offense if you have one, and I don't think you're stupid-er if you do, but for some reason I've grown to despise them. Maybe it's because the creepy sexual predator who wouldn't leave me alone on the bus last night was wearing one? That's probably it.
In any case, blech.
Sexual predator "Joaquim," if you're reading this, I'm not really from Camden. That was a dirty lie I told. You would think riding around on the 86 bus on a Friday night carrying three giant bags full of books on St. Augustine and Charles Williams, while wearing a Star Wars bomber jacket, would keep the creeps and annoying buggers away (perhaps even scare them?). ...But sadly, no.
Also, if you haven't seen Firefly and its TV-to-film counterpart, Serenity, open up a fresh new tab on your Firefox browser, go to Amazon.com and BUY THEM BOTH, NOW. Doing so will make the Baby Jesus' incessant crying momentarily simmer to a slight whimper, allowing the Virgin Mary to get some eats or go the bathroom at long last. DO IT.
As I type, Matt is crying that the Firefly-Serenity-watching is over (we just finished watching the movie). Needless to say, we're hooked. And he's moping. I wish he'd get this choked up over moi. :P
UPDATE: This is rather urgent. Go to www.serenity.com -- NOW. Oh gawd. Just look at that titlebar. And those smiling, shiny, happy people. Joss Whedon should evict these people from that webspace ...um, asap. Or not... I mean it is hilarious. And yet, so very, very wrong.
Though, you know, the centerpiece quote in the middle of the page might just be something Cap'n Mal might say...
"Serenity has given me a new sense of freedom. At last I can do what I like, go where I like, when I like -- and stay for as long as I want!"
And certainly Wash would say something like this...
"You are most definitely not alone in having a weak bladder. Nor does it have to keep you from having a normal, active lifestyle."
