Say goodbye

Jun 29, 2006 11:49

I am saying goodbye to the United States once again.

Am I coming back to the United States? When I graduated last year, I thought I would be stuck in Singapore for a painfully long time. But here I am now, having experienced a couple of new cities and extended my time away from home. I still look forward to going home, as Singapore is still where I feel the sense of belonging most strongly. I digressed. I don’t know when I am coming back again. Nobody knows what the future beholds.

Do I want to come back to the United States? I don’t know. This is an ideal place for my intellectual growth. However, at the same time, this is a terrible place for working and living because of the stress and compromise in lifestyle. Let me ponder over it for a few more months.

I will miss my friends here. Whenever we say goodbye, we would always say: see you at some other parts of the world in the near future. Really, nobody knows what the future beholds.

I will meet everyone back at home. Lunch, dinner, coffee, drinking, party, salsa, rollerblading, movie, karaoke… ring me up after 2nd July!
