Application for the DragonCon Costumers' Procratination Club

So much to do, running out of time to do it in.

Hero
* Make skirt
* Make blouse
* Make bodice
* Seed pearl necklace

Fabric is in the wash as I'm typing, and I already have sandals to wear. (I'm doing the masquerade version right now.)

Don John
* Vest
* Shirt
* Pants (or just use store-bought)
* Cape
* Mask

Still can't find a vest material I like. It's either too light in color, or no paisley. Or not the right kind of paisley. As for the mask, I think I'm going to make that Davin's project.

Hindi Wedding Gown
* Make headpiece
* Add waist stay/other bodice support
* Finish trimming
* Shoes
* Wig
* Don't go insane

At least the dress itself is constructed...

Davin's Moulin Rouge outfit
* Pants (or store-bought)
* Shirt
* Vest
* Cross necklace
* Wrist guards

Endor Leia
* Make a rank badge I'm happy with
* Re-bind vest armholes
* Closures
* New hair braid
* Holster & belt pouches

Just nit-picky finishing touches, really.

Willy Wonka
* New, "Labor Day in Atlanta"-friendly coat
* Top hat

Since nobody can compete with Toby's recreation, I think this is just going to be a tweaked version of what we did for Halloween, instead of trying for 99% accuracy.

Barbie Fett
* Paint back armor
* New cape
* Redye gloves
* Retouch helmet paint job
* New holster, belt, and pouches
* Attach armor to fabric parts again
* New "skirt" if time

Again, mostly tweaking what's already there.

"Fantasy" Japanese garb
* Hakama
* Under tunic/kimono
* Stiffen the upper portion of the green brocade vest I made for Flipside

It's not really true Japanese garb, but not based on anime, either. Kind of a mixture of both. Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

We're post-poning Jin this year (thankfully!). Davin decided that, while the fabric Cassandra found was nice, he wanted something more accurate and didn't want to spend tons of money on it now just to remake it again later. Not going to complain with that. And that'll give me time to do a Mei costume to go along with it.

Looking over the list, a good portion of it is smaller tasks, so I just need to work on something every day. Hopefully, today I can get the hakama knocked out, and possibly part of Hero's outfit. At least the skirt. Maybe the necklace, if I can find beads while I'm out running errands.

planning lists, dragoncon
