70 Days Left...
Only seventy days left until DragonCon, and I've barely thought about costumes. Yikes.
For me, planned:
Barbie Fett
Endor Leia
Moulin Rouge (more than likely my Hindi wedding gown)
Hero, from Much Ado
Unnamed costume
For Davin:
Jin
Willy Wonka
Prince John, from Much Ado
Old costumes: Barbie Fett mostly just needs some touch ups to the armor, and I'd like to make a new shirt, vest, and cape for it. Endor Leia just needs a better rank badge, and a holster & belt pouches. As for the Hindi Wedding gown, it just needs a hem, and trim. Oh, and the headdress. Also, I'd like to get a wig to use with it (and so I'd have one already for All-Con next year). absinthangel and sistersola, which wigs do y'all use (style, color) and from where?
New costumes: Hero shouldn't be that difficult to throw together, really. For the other, I need to sit down and pick just one of my three unnamed costume ideas. Two shouldn't be that difficult to do, and are rarely done, but the other is a bit more involved. And also not done before/yet, at least to my knowledge.
As for Davin's costumes, those are going to be the most time consuming projects this summer. Remaking his Willy Wonka coat in something a little more suited for Atlanta at the end of the summer. Searching for fabrics for Jin, and suitable patterns for Prince John. Eep. I'm sure that how much time I have left after working on these is going to determine my final costume.
With four days off in a row next week, hopefully I can get a start on everything.
